About Relief Society
Relief Society is the women's organization of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and one of the oldest and largest women's organizations in the world. It was founded by Joseph Smith in Nauvoo, Illinois in 1842 with the purpose of organizing the women of the Church to provide relief to the poor and those in need.
Today, Relief Society serves women ages 18 and older in congregations around the world. Its mission is to prepare women for the blessings of eternal life by increasing faith in Jesus Christ, strengthening families and homes, and providing relief by caring for those in need.

What We Do
Sunday Gospel Study
Weekly instruction based on Come, Follow Me and the teachings of Church leaders — deep, meaningful discussions among women.
Ministering
Every woman is assigned sisters to watch over and care for. Ministering is visiting, checking in, and serving throughout the month.
Service Projects
Relief Society sisters serve their communities and fellow members through organized service — one of the most visible expressions of their faith.
Enrichment Activities
Monthly activities focused on homemaking, education, talents, and sisterhood — something for every woman's interest and stage of life.
Welfare & Self-Reliance
Relief Society is the primary arm of the Church's welfare system, coordinating food, assistance, and self-reliance resources for families in need.
Temple Worship
Sisters are encouraged to attend the temple together, renewing their covenants and serving in the sacred ordinances of the House of the Lord.
