Men

The men’s group is called Elders Quorum. As part of our worship services, they meet together for faith-building lessons. One of their major responsibilities is service; they care for the widows, do yard work, or even haul furniture. They often arrange social activities, such as barbeques or sporting events.

For members of The Church of Jesus Christ, the priesthood is the eternal power and authority of God. Men who receive the Melchizedek Priesthood promise God that they will be faithful to priesthood duties and live the gospel of Jesus Christ. Bearers of the restored Melchizedek Priesthood meet on Sundays to learn the teachings of Jesus Christ. They learn how to perform their priesthood responsibilities and to be righteous and loving husbands, fathers and effective providers. They also learn how to shepherd church members, assist neighbors of other faiths, and provide service in the community. Priesthood holders organize and aid in service projects to care for the needy.
